Tragic Incident

In last weekend’s J Grade Grand Final at Wonga Park between Wonga Park 7th
XI and Norwood 4th XI, Norwood’s wicketkeeper, Andy Haines, took the final
catch to tie the game and then collapsed. Ambulances were called and Andy
was taken to hospital where he later passed away. In recognition of this
very sad event, in the opening round of 2020/21, we will request all players
throughout our grades to wear a black armband and hold a minute’s silence
immediately before each game.
