Congratulations to Daniel Meehan, recipient of hat number 184 at Templeton Cricket Club

Dan, at age 14, we believe to be our youngest ever first eleven cricketer – surpassing our President, Paul Taylor, who had held this record for the past two decades.

Throughout the season Dan has impressed with his bowling in the seconds, leading the team in wickets and has a bowling average of just over 9 for the year. Dan also got his career best figures last weekend with a very impressive 5/13.

Daniel also played three T20 matches this season, including being a member of our premiership team during the week. Over the three matches he took three wickets (two of those in the GF) and had an impressive T20 economy rate of 6.

A well deserved debutant for the Taipans, and no doubt today will be the first of many matches he will play wearing his numbered cap.
