TAIPAN PETE TO DEBUT FOR AUSTRALIA

23 Nov 2016 by Paul Taylor

Templeton Cricket Club would like to congratulate former player Peter Handscomb on his selection in the Australian Test side.

Pete arrived to Templeton Cricket Club in 2002 as an 11 year old. Playing in the under 14s, “little Pete” quickly showed he had great talent making 50 in his first competitive game of cricket.

Pete had a great ability to score runs to all areas of the ground, and worked hard on his game at every training session. Pete had a great drive to win, but always played the game in the right spirit and with a smile on his face.

He quickly became the best batsmen in the under 14 division in the association, and Pete played a vital part in back to back under 14-1s premierships.

We are very proud of Pete and wish him all the best tomorrow and for a long and successful international career.
